My Self Development Story

I am sometimes asked by clients if I have always subscribed to the tenants of self development.

As a teenager it certainly wasn’t the case. I was bordering on being self destructive: I was mixing with the wrong crowd, messing around with things I shouldn’t have been messing around with, was without direction and had no concrete hopes for the future.

I was at a crossroads in my life, looking back it’s obvious now but at the time I was just living for the weekend and just avoiding any responsibility that came my way.

This did not change overnight however a big step in the right direction for me was starting my journey in martial arts and qi gong. This happened in January 2000 and really came at the perfect time for me to make a change and start developing myself.

Not only did martial arts and qi gong give me direction but it also re-instilled a work ethic and gave me a chance to dream of what might be. I began to take care of myself through exercise, diet, self care and meditation. This catalyst also propelled me back into education which allowed me to apply my creative streak.

Fast forward a few years and I had graduated, become a black belt and moved to London to work in the film industry. That particular dream didn’t work out but it did lead me to work in the training industry and helped me to find my calling in the world of self development. I later found love, got married and went back to university again this time to study psychology.

A few years later I founded my own self development company and became a father. In 2021 I graduated and have put together a holistic self development method that empowers the body, sharpens the mind and helps make health a top priority.

It is my sincere belief that the art and science of self development will help this world become a better place both on an individual and societal level.
